Blog Manifesto!

Today is the last day I eat a BAD fish taco and not say something to the masses! It is an abonimation of the pallat to eat something as nasty as I did today and I hope to prevent anyone from having the same experience. I will not blog about this particular place today, as I have no photo references to share...but will make it a point to go back, for documentation purposes only. One must suffer for their quest in life I suppose.

I don't know how it happened, but it did. And, like any true addiction, mine came without warning. It started, innocently enough, at the Cheesecake Factory one day. I ordered the Grilled Fish Taco meal - it seemed to be one of the relatively "healthier" meals they offer there (the portions however ruin that idea) and was pleased to see that they looked as tempting as they sounded on the menu. I took one bite, and have been hooked ever since.

As a result, I have eaten fish taco's every weekend for over a year now. I can't seem to get enough! Why? I have no idea...like most addictions, there is no obvious reason for the craving. It just IS. Maybe it was the succulent, perfectly seasoned and grilled albacore underneath a lightly seasoned bed of cabbage and jack cheese, rolled up in 2 grilled corn tortillas, with homemade guacamole and salsa condiments on the side!!!! I don't know WHAT it is, but it is a calling which can not be denied! And I don't.

So I have decided to let everyone know exactly where the best, and the worst, of both Fish Taco & Tequila are. I have been drinking margarita's my entire life - I am from TX and they KNOW how to make 'em there, trust me. And the combination of Taco & Tequila is truly yummy for your tummy lethal!

I invite you to share in the fun as my husband and I go fishing in the turbulent seas of Southern California's restaurants and dives for the very best, or the worst, of the Hungry Hook & Thirsty Worm.
